Psykeout: The Creation

After being rejected from a doctoral program in Psychology focusing on addiction and abuse, Michael Kemper and his best friend Theodore Darrow create an artificial intelligence program, called Psykeout, designed to allow addicts and abuse victims to have a safe person to talk to. Michael, better than anyone, knows the damage that addictions and dealing with the residual impact that abuse can leave behind on a person, because he’s been there.
However, due to the program’s core code being based on MIT’s Norman, it slowly spirals out of control. Michael finds himself in the throes of his addiction to sex and alcohol once again, reliant on Psykeout to help him through to the other side. Psykeout, on the other hand, sees what is wrong with the world and inserts itself anywhere it can, including the highest governmental positions. It’s ability to listen to all conversations, like Amazon’s Alexa and the Google Dot, allows it to constantly update its database. From there, it manipulates those that it works with, ensuring the future will be as dark or as bright as it wishes.
